Rebuilt my Church

What an awesome task to undertake
to rebuild a Church which is cumbling.
New stones and new mortar is required
to ensure a solid building.
We could easily give up when we think
we have to do it all ourselves.
We can’t afford the new stones and cement;
we are not experienced builders.
But, one stone, solid and secure
is a start to any wall, any building.
Love is our blueprint and poverty the finance
for this edifice to serve God.
If we chip away at the rot
and get rid of selfishness and hate
we can make new stones from the old
and use the Rule for mortar.
So let us beg for Living Stones
like Francis in Assisi.
Let’s shape them by our example
living the Gospel Life.

Ricostruisci la mia Chiesa

Che compito imponente da intraprendere
ricostruire una Chiesa in rovina.
C'è bisogno di nuove pietre e nuova calce
per garantire un edificio solido.
Potremmo arrenderci facilmente nel pensare
che dobbiamo far tutto da soli.
Noi non possiamo permetterci nuove pietre e cemento,
non siamo esperti costruttori.
Ma una pietra, solida e sicura
è un inizio per qualsiasi muro, qualsiasi edificio.
L'Amore è il nostro progetto e la povertà è il nostro capitale
per questo edificio al servizio di Dio.
se sgretoliamo la corruzione
se ci sbarazziamo dell'egoismo e dell'odio
possiamo creare nuove pietre dalle vecchie
ed usare la Regola come mortaio.
Quindi, andiamo ad elemosinare Pietre Viventi
come Francesco ad Assisi.
Scolpiamole con il nostro esempio
vivere la Vita del Vangelo.
